InTouch, an android widget
UPDATE: It's now available in the android market. See it on cyrket.
I've just finished my first android widget. If you're anything like me you may like heading out for drink with friends. If your signficiant other is anything like mine you may find them upset if you forget to call regularly while out. Solving this problem was the aim of my widget.
It places a 4x1 widget on your desktop. You choose the contact, whether you want an alarm and various related settings then hit save to put the widget on your desktop. It will (configurably) track when you last attempt to call them or last received a call from them. If the time since then becomes too great then an alarm will sound.
It supports having multiple widgets so you can add as many as you like selecting a different contact each.
Lastly, the screenshots. It gives the contact's name, not Significant Other as in the screenshots. I just renamed my contact to save plastering their name all over the web.
First selecting the InTouch widget

The configuration screen

When the alarm goes off the widget highlights red and a notification is raised. It also optionally vibrates the phone and sounds an alarm.

When the alarm is enabled, but not yet triggered the InTouch button (which also brings up the configuration screen) has a white face on the icon.

If the face is black, that means this widget currently has the alarm disabled.
